OUR Coaches

Intentional Fitness Sports Performance (IFSP) is a training facility for anyone wanting something different in their typical training routine or fitness program. We offer the most comprehensive programs in the region. Which are: Adult Functional Training, Personal Training, Sports Performance Training and Team Training. The time and effort spent training at IFSP will translate to peak performance in any sport and/or a healthier you. If you are looking to lose weight, train for a fitness test, improve your speed, power and agility in sports or simply looking for a new and fresh way of training, IFSP is the place for you. During each session you will be guided and instructed by one of our experienced coaches. This helps you train right and never be lost on what you're doing. We will provide the knowledge and means necessary to help you reach your goals.


Ruben Bonilla MS, CSCS

Owner and head coach at IFSP.  Ruben has a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors in Kinesiology. He is currently a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has over 10 years combined experience in sports rehabilitation, performance training, youth training, personal and team training.

Prior to IFSP, Ruben served as a Performance Coach for Velocity Sports Performance and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Atlas Soccer Academy in Tucson,  AZ.  He has also functioned as Exercise Physiologist for Yuma Regional Medical Center and family therapist helping clients overcome life barriers like depression, low self-esteem, etc.

Ruben and his wife Damaris have 3 children, Johan, Jaaziel, and Jaeli Bonilla. 

Brandon Lopez NSCA-CPT

Brandon is certified under the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a Strength and Performance Coach at IFSP. He is from Phoenix, Arizona where he was a strength and conditioning coach for Centennial High School and head boxing/kickboxing trainer at a 9Round kickboxing studio. Brandon plans to continue his education in exercise science and wellness to further pursue his passion for fitness and performance.

Brandon and his wife Ashley are expecting a baby boy in March.
